Reviving the blog

Hello everyone as it has been a longtime since I last posted. Trying to keep a deadline so this will be a short post. Will be back soon with updates.

We Are In A New Season

It seems like the year just started a few days ago & we are all ready into the 2nd quarter. Feels like I am in one those fast paced basketball games we have been enjoying.

We are coming up on the close of March Madness 2018, with tonight's game crowning the men's winning team. How well did you do in the first quarter of the year? Have you accomplished all you set out to or did you go down like Virginia did in the first round?

To be perfectly honest with you, I did not get anything going right. I had a few things going I did start but did not build momentum. So, I am going to have to start over. That is the good thing about life, you do get a chance to start again. In sports when you lose you are done until the next year.

Its time to hit the reset button. Now we need to get the plans out & move double time to implement them. That is usually the problem with not getting anything accomplished, we never get started. I am writing my goals down for the next 90 days & posted them so, I can see them all the time. Next will come the plans to reach the goals. Then they have to be put into action, actually implement. It is going to be work involved so just suck it up & get it done.

However, the main thing you have to do is to make the decision to do it. Ask yourself, is what you currently doing working for you? If not, then it's time to make a change so that it will.

I will be building on the thoughts in this post so, if you want o get the updates join the network.

End of the Second Quarter

I do not know about you but it seems as if times spends up every year that goes by.
We where just beginning the new year and all ready we are 30 days from half of
it being over.

If you are like most people, myself included you haven't reach many or any of your
goals, resolutions or intentions. Well you know what they say; if you keep doing what
you have always done, you will keeping getting what you have always got.

Let's change that once & for all.

I challenge you to spend the month of June deciding on what you want to accomplish
by the end of the year. Then create the plans to get it done. Next implement the plans
that you have created. Meaning take ACTION.  You have to change in order to get
different results. Review your results and adjust your steps in order to keep moving
forward.

Who is up for the challenge? I will be doing it myself and posting about it here.
To see what I am doing and how it is going connect with me on facebook to be
informed of when I make a new post.

100 Days...100 Nights

TODAY is the 100th day of the year.

It's time for a change don't you think?

What results do you have to show for yourself?

Are you on track for having your best year ever,
or do you need to make some changes?

If you continue doing exactly what you've been
doing...where will you be 100 days from today,
on July 20th?

Will you be struggling, spinning your wheels
and in the same place where you are right
now?

Why would you want that?

Especially when you could be...

Confidently executing the plan that launches
your new online business...

Completing the manuscript that makes you
a best-selling author...

Running the marathon you promised yourself
and getting back into great shape...

Crushing your sales goals, breaking records and
earning some huge commissions.

I’m going to take the liberty of being blunt…

You've have 100 days to showcase your best
stuff...to show the world how badly you wanted
to make big things happen.

If you're currently below target or unsatisfied
with your individual or team performance...
you NEED to adjust your plan and you need
to do it now.

Lucky for you that the single best opportunity you
have for making a comeback, redeeming yourself and
crushing your second quarter goals... is now for
enrollment.

It's called the 100 Day Challenge...a hardcore goal
setting and performance acceleration program put
together by my friend Gary Ryan Blair.

I give it my highest recommendation and encourage
you to check it out right now as enrollment is
closing soon.

Make it the very next thing you do!

P.S. If the idea of getting more accomplished in the
next 100 days than most people do over the course
of ten years gets your mojo working...than make it
a point to participate in this extraordinary program.

You'll be excited...no make that ecstatic that you did!

Fail Effectively and You Can't Lose

The fear of failing has become the number one reason that most people do not achieve
their goals or anything else. We tend to act like it is some type of disgrace to fail when it
actually is part of the process.

Failure is a part of any endeavor. If you’re not failing, you’re not trying. You can choose to
allow failure to affect your state of mind or you can choose to take advantage of it. The most successful people get the most out of each failure. Use failure to your benefit.

Most of us have learned to avoid failure at all costs. But failure is a wonderful way to learn
and stretch yourself. All innovation requires failure in the development process. Failing
regularly gives the best chance of long-term success.

Achieve greater levels of success by failing effectively:

  1. Fail quickly. If an idea isn’t going to pan out, you might as well figure it sooner rather than later. Avoid spending too much time on a faulty premise. It doesn’t make sense to invest time and money over 12 months only to realize that an idea won’t work if you could’ve reached the same conclusion in three weeks.

  • At the same time, it’s important not to fail too quickly. Give an idea a fair chance to be successful. Some things take time more time than others do.

  1. Ensure that you’re failing for the right reason. Be certain the necessary time and resources are utilized. If something has gone wrong, determine carefully if it was the idea or the execution.

  • Have you considered every possible need of your project?

  • Can your idea work if you change your approach?

  1. Fail differently each time. Many people repeat their mistakes. Failing loses all of its value if you fail to learn from it. Each time you fail in a new way, you have the opportunity to improve your approach.

  2. After a failure, make a list of everything you learned. What did you learn? How can you apply that information in the future? What’s the next logical step? Failing isn’t fun. Ensure you’re getting the most out of it. Keep a failure journal to record your discoveries and new ideas.

  • Create a plan for the future that considers the new information you’ve acquired. This plan will evolve over time.

  1. Keep an accurate perspective. What is failure? It’s an undesired result. That’s it. It’s not a grading of your intelligence, worth, or future. There’s no reason to take it personally. It’s simply an idea that didn’t work out. Maintain detached from your results and forge ahead.

  • The great coach, John Wooden, stated that he hoped no one would be able to tell if his team had won or lost based on the team’s demeanor after a game. That’s detachment.

  • Be resilient. Your feelings of self-worth aren’t dependent on your results. You can feel good about yourself even when you don’t achieve your desired outcome. Be proud that you were brave enough to fail and continue.

  1. Keep failure and fault separate. We all learned in childhood that admitting to mistakes resulted taking the blame. Whether you’re working on a self-improvement project or a project at work, keep the blame to a minimum.

  2. Failure should bring you closer to an optimal solution. The more challenging the goal, the more times you can expect to fail before achieving success.

  3. Effective failing creates new opportunities. Many of the most important inventions resulted from mistakes. For example, the glue used in post-it notes resulted from an attempt to create a super-strong adhesive.

Avoid feeling down about failing. View each failure as a step in the right direction. There’s much to be learned via failure. Embrace failure. Just be certain to fail effectively!

From Fear to Freedom

Do you feel that you are suppose to be experiencing a more exciting
life? However, for some reason you aren't and you have tried to.
Then the steps below may just be the answer you are looking for.
At least a start to you living your dreams.

Every successful person has had to deal with fear. The road to hell
might be paved with good intentions, but the road to success is littered
with fear and uncertainty.

The biggest difference between someone that is wildly successful and
someone that is not is the courage to take significant action over and over
again.

These steps will enable you take that significant action, repeatedly:

1. Simply decide to succeed. Most people never really decide to do
or accomplish anything significant; at best they 'kinda sorta try it out.'
However, once you've truly decided to go for your dreams, there is no
other option - and no room for fear or doubt - in your mind. In fact, the
word 'decide' means to cut yourself off from any other possibility.

2. Embrace risk. Chase after your fears and show them who is boss.
Make the tough presentation or phone call. Ask for whatever it is that
you want. A big part of being successful is doing things that other people
are too afraid to do.

3. Prepare yourself. Many of our stresses, challenges, and concerns are
things that we anticipated. Take the time to find solutions and put them
into place before you need them. When you can see a challenge that is
likely to come up, simply prepare for it instead of worrying about it.

4. Go with the flow. If you don't live in the past or future, life is much less
stressful. Let go of your resistance to the present moment and see what happens.

5. Focus on the good outcomes. Most people look for the worst and expect it to
happen. Expect the best and it's much easier to take action. Sure, some
undesirable things will likely happen along the way, but they'll be like mosquitoes
that need to be shooed away. That's much better than the brick wall that you might
otherwise perceive.

6. Learn to relax. When you feel stress and anxiety coming on, a few slow, deep
breaths can make a huge difference. To a large extent, our psychology follows our
physiology; breathing is the only part of our physiology that we can really control.
Use that control to your advantage.

7. Fully engage in your life and get away from the news. The news is so negative.
Instead, find something interesting to do with your time. If you're conquering less
stressful things all day long, the more stressful things don't seem so bad anymore.
Take a piano lesson, go hiking, or go skydiving. It will make your life more
interesting, too.

8. Realize that you are enough. Even if you have things to learn and skills that need
to be honed, that doesn't mean that you're incapable of the task at hand. Plan to
acquire the resources you need, but do everything you can with the resources you
have now.

9. Start small. Make a list of everything that you need to do but can't seem to follow
through on. Put them in order from least scary to most. Now decide to do the item at
the top of the list. When that's done, do the next. Only focus on the current item at the
top of the list.

You should print this out and read it in the morning after you wake up and
in the evening before going to bed. Make it a part of your mental
reprogramming.

The only way to truly be free is to conquer your fears. The only way to
conquer your fears is to do the things that frighten you. Show yourself that you can do
those things successfully. Follow the suggestions above and start your journey from
fear to freedom today!
